The River Gallery inhabits one of the most inviting facilities in the
New Orleans area, in a building that once served as a cigar factory, stationery warehouse, and
recording studio for Cosimo Matassa's Jazz City Records. The management
welcomes special events from family, professional, and industry clients. The Gallery accommodates up to 250 reception guests in its two-room floor plan, and 120 in seated dinners.
The main facility consists of over 3500 square feet of open exhibition
space, including the Warehouse Room and the more casual Studio Room in front. The
Warehouse Room is approximately 2600 square feet, with large canvas works along four walls, and an area of inset stone flooring.
The Studio Room provides another 900 square feet, including an elegant
25 foot counter/bar, large street-facing windows, and remarkable archways of handlaid brick.

| A
large and partially covered outdoor garden patio in the rear adds
another 700 square feet and an exciting variation. Ambient light
trickles down through forty foot bamboo stalks along the southern
wall in this secluded area.
Most rentals include all areas of the gallery, including the central service/prep area and an adjacent 10 space parking garage. More information, including rental policy and application, can be found at the links above.
