Elizabeth Polchow Livingston

Born in New Orleans in 1955, Elizabeth Polchow Livingston was inspired at an early age by her artistic older sister. Elizabeth graduated from Vassar College in 1978 with a degree in French. Upon her return to New Orleans she began painting in earnest taking classes at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts and the University of New Orleans. She has devoted herself to her art ever since.

The artist’s work has been featured in New Orleans, Elegance and Decadence by Richard Sexton and Randolph Delehanty, and The Whole Heaven Catalog by Marcia and Jack Kelly. She has exhibited at the Oestreicher Gallery and various city venues, including the New Orleans Zen Temple, where her husband is abbott.

Elizabeth divides her time between studios in New Orleans and the mountains of North Carolina.
